4CM

4CM was originally founded as Brooks Gould Associates in 1981, offering graphic design, photographic and copywriting services.

Within two years we had moved into our first office and studio in a converted stable block in what had once been part of the Rothschild manor, Mentmore Towers, in the small village of Mentmore.

Our offices were in a former grain store, which still retained beneath the floorboards many years of grain husks - excellent for insulation in the winter months but also conducive to the occasional invasion of field mice!

By the early nineties, we had built a robust B2B marketing agency, successfully weathered two major UK recessions and developed an integrated and proven range of services that worked effectively for client organisations of all sizes.

Continued growth meant a move to new offices in Tring, Hertfordshire in 1993. Although not as full of character as our old offices they nevertheless had a charm of their own, being based in what had once been a substantial coaching inn, the George Hotel; this subsequently became a pub before closing in the nineteen seventies.

Our offices were on the ground floor in the old bar area and included ornate carved timber fireplaces and an oak panelled meeting room, with Victorian moulded plaster cornices and a massive cut glass chandelier!

We traded from George House until 1996, when continued expansion, plus the need once again for dedicated studio space, demanded that we look for larger, more modern premises.

Having worked from various and often unusual premises over the years, in 1996 we moved to and subsequently purchased a modern, self contained and detached office block on the Triangle Business Park in Aylesbury.

This coincided with a change of company name to Brooks Randall Marketing Communications and provided an ideal base from which to support both our growing team of marketing professionals and expanding client base.

Early in 2003 a change in company directors, together with a desire to refocus on our core skills and services led us to relocate to our current home in new, purpose built offices, back in the village of Mentmore.

The company is now solely owned by founder, Nick Brooks, and officially became 4 Creative Marketing in April 2004, rebranding to 4CM in 2008.

Our current offices are located in a converted, self-contained hay barn, standing in its own land on the outskirts of the village.

The rural idyll does, however, have the advantage of modern technology, including full air conditioning and Broadband communications. Perhaps as importantly, the Old Haybarn is an ideal size for the business and in an excellent location, with easy access to all main motorway, rail and air links, giving clients a relaxed location from which to plan truly effective marketing campaigns.
