The Racor Division of Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has introduced a new touchscreen control panel with a remote control option for use with the latest Village Marine Stowaway series of water desalination and purification systems. Designed to offer a new level of control and ease of operation for use in a wide range of commercial and leisure boats, the Stowaway series offers freshwater independence with minimum operation requirements for boat users on long, extended cruises or ocean crossings.

The new advanced Parker LCD colour touchscreen panel features a multi-function graphical interface for ease of control, with high 320 by 240 pixel resolution and clear visibility, even under bright lighting conditions.  The system provides an easy to understand icon based set of menus and commands, for monitoring water purity and controlling all of the functions of the Stowaway series, including salinity and temperature control as well as water storage flush capabilities and day to day system adjustments.

The panel’s safety features consist of alarm and warning lights to show low water pressure, incorrect salinity levels and service schedules. This ensures water purity is maintained at the correct levels and makes system maintenance easy to predict and schedule.

The Village Marine Stowaway series of desalination and purification systems are constructed on a modular frame, which maximises installation flexibility. The frame is compact and can be mounted above or below the water line, while the boost pump and pre-filter components are supplied separately to enable the system to be adapted for fitting in confined areas.

The Parker range of Village Marine water desalination and purification systems all include Aqua Pro component membranes, pressure vessels and pumps, capable of producing between 600 to 350,000 litres per day. The systems are suited for marine, commercial marine, fishing vessels, power and sailing boats, super yachts, cruise ships and offshore rigs and are supported through Parker’s global network of customer support centres, to ensure high levels of water purification in even the most demanding and challenging marine conditions.
